Bracken Theatre Company Presents “Colorblind: The Katrina Monologues”
Colorblind:The Katrina Monologues is a series of ten monologues based on the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina written by local playwright Tom Flannery. From an elderly nursing home patient to a New Orleans police officer to a little boy separated from his parents, these stories captured the experiences of those affected by Katrina near and far.
The monologues were first performed as a fundraiser at Applause Theatre in September 2005, and the Bracken Theatre Company is giving a repeat performance in observance of the first anniversary of the disaster. All proceeds from this production will go to the American Red Cross.
Performances will be held on August 25 and 26 at 8pm; August 27, 2006 at 2pm at the Showcase Theatre, Exeter. For reservations or more information call 570-654-2555.
