NUNSENSE really is habit-forming

The Music Box is pleased to welcome the Little Sisters of Hoboken back to the Playhouse for a limited engagement on September 22, 23, 24, 28, 29, 30 and October 1, 5, 6, 7, 8.
First performed by the Little Sisters in an act of desperation after the convent cook, Sister Julia, made an unfortunate mistake, NUNSENSE has become a world-wide sensation. Spawning long theatrical runs off-Broadway and throughout the country, a best selling compact disc, a DVD starring Rue McClanahan, and a general interest in getting thee to a nunnery, NUNSENSE is a side-splitting musical appropriate for all ages and religions.
As part of the celebration of the Players’ 25th Anniversary, NUNSENSE is being staged in response to overwhelming audience demand. Originally presented in 1992 to rave reviews and led by Music Box favorites Debbie Zehner as Reverend Mother Mary Regina and Nancy Brown as Sister Mary Hubert, these singing, dancing and very twisted sisters guarantee an evening even more divine than those experienced during the premiere production.
Joining original stars Zehner and Brown are Dana Feigenblatt as Sister Mary Robert Anne, Alice Y. Lyons as Sister Mary Amnesia and Emily Kopec as Sister Mary Leo. Direction is by Father Michael Gallagher based on original staging by Monsignor E.T. Goman; Musical Direction is by Brother Fred Pacolitch and choreography is by Deacon Kevin Costley.
NUNSENSE is presented as a unique dinner show experience with catering by the area’s premiere caterer, A Touch of Class at the Palace. A fully stocked cash bar is available at all performances. Show only tickets are available.
