    About the Pocono Choral Society
The Pocono Choral Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching community culture through quality performances of a variety of choral music. Begun in 1981, PCS has grown from a handful of singers to over 50 musicians, many of whom bring a wealth of experience as past or present participants in other civic, religious and professional choirs and instrumental groups.

PCS has performed through the area giving concerts for Grey Towers in Milford, PA, the Slate Belt Performing Arts Council, Unity House Resort in Bushkill, Luther Crest in Allentown and Heath Village in Hackettstown, NJ. In December 1995, the society debuted in New York City and in Atlantic City. In 1984 PCS toured Europe giving six concerts in four countries and in 1992 sang throughout Nova Scotia. The group toured and performed throughout the British Isles in 1996, and in 2001 toured and performed throughout Scandinavia.

In 1984, a select ensemble chosen from within the membership was formed. The Pocono Choral Society Chamber Singers concentrates on vocal chamber music and is available for concerts throughout the area. During the holiday season they carol at local resorts and in the summer entertain parents of prospective East Stroudsburg University students with pops concerts.

PCS is open to all and auditions are held periodically throughout the year. For further information call 908/852-3777.
