John Cariani, actor and playwright of On January 20, Tony nominated actor and playwright, John Cariani, will be holding a post-performance talk-back with the audience when he will field questions and discuss his newest play, Almost, Maine at The Northeast Theatre. A reception for Mr. Cariani will follow the talk-back.

Almost, Maine enjoyed a successful off-Broadway run last winter, and comes to Scranton in the world premiere production of the final, soon-to-be-published version of the play. Almost, Maine is a magical midwinter night’s dream set in the land of northern lights; it follows the romantic life of Almost, a small town in Maine that hugs the Canadian border. We are introduced to eight little love stories that all happen one cold winter’s night and send an early thrill of spring through the town’s inhabitants. Whimsical, mysterious, funny, and sweet, the play has warming agents that provide a perfect antidote for a Pennsylvania winter.
