Little Theatre Continues its Run of “Art” and “Sealed for Freshness” This Weekend
Little Theatre of Wilkes-Barre proudly presents a pair of comedies again this weekend with alternating performances of Art and Sealed for Freshness this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Art is a Tony Award-Winning drama is about three friends and the purchase of a very expensive piece of artwork whose canvas is painted entirely in shades of white! The trio’s reaction to this painting is debated on stage with some clever dialogue and metaphors that abound in each of their personal lives. The show is Directed by Christa Manning with Technical Direction by Alan Waclawski. Art will be presented on Friday night, March 9 at 8 PM and Sunday afternoon March 11 at 3 PM.
Set in 1968, Sealed for Freshness is a funny, but sideways, view of the changes in women and society during the sixties. Instead of learning secrets to keeping fresh food for their family, the ladies learn they have been sealed off from the revolution of their time. This “Tupperware party gone bad” changes its host and everyone in attendance in some way. The show is under the Direction of Cathy Alaimo with Technical Direction by Alan Waclawski. Sealed for Freshness will be presented on Saturday and Sunday night, March 10 and 11, at 8 pm.
See either show for $12 or both for $20! Call the Little Theatre box office at 570-823-1875 for reservations.
