EMTC Takes Theatre to the “PEANUTS” Gallery!
April 5, 2007
Endless Mountains Theatre Company is launching its 2007 season, and the word is . . . Snoopy!!! Yes, we’re talking about the one and only many-faceted beagle, along with his unforgettable colleagues from the landmark Peanuts comic strip created by Charles M. Schulz.
Snoopy!!! is a fun-filled, heartwarming musical, a sequel to the legendary show You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. As in that show, our much-beloved Charlie Brown, Lucy, Linus and the gang take the stage to amuse us, delight us, and even give us some insights into life.
This whimsical, vignette-style show is sure to connect with everyone who has ever smiled at Snoopy, Woodstock, and the whole, wide world of Peanuts. It’s all in there–from Lucy’s psychiatrist booth to Linus’ blanket to the Great Pumpkin and the Easter Beagle. And who could resist songs like “The World According to Snoopy”!

Mary Wilson of The Supremes to Perform at The Sherman Theater
April 4, 2007
Original “Dream Girl” Mary Wilson, a founding member of The Supremes, will perform at the Sherman Theater in downtown Stroudsburg on April 27. The performance is presented by A&E Promotions.
It was a vision of musical stardom as a Detroit teen that inspired Mary Wilson to co-found one of the most successful female singing groups in recording history - The Supremes. Since then, Wilson has gone on to be a part of dozens of hit records, has written a best-selling autobiography, performed on stage and screen, lectured and toured the world, and contiues to be looked up to as a singer who set the standard for females in the recording industry.
While growing up in Detroit’s Brewster Projects, a young Mary Wilson had long fantasized about being a performer, her love for singing having blossomed when she befriended Florence Ballard, Betty McGlown and Diana Ross at age 13. Fueled by their mutual love of music and their ambition for stardom, the quartet formed a singing group, The Primettes. When Betty left the group to get married, the girls recruited Barbara Martin. Together they auditioned for the fledgling Motown label and were eventually signed. Barbara dropped out of the group, and the remaining trio of Mary, Flo and Diana became known as The Supremes.
