Gaslight Theatre opens its season with an ingeniously hilarious and highly entertaining version of Hans Christian Anderson’s very short story The Princess and the Pea this weekend.
Under the direction of Christina Reynolds, The Princess and the Pea tells the story of Prince Valiant, who needs to find a princess to marry. He goes out into the world on his quest to find a real princess. Along his way, he meets many personalities but a storm brings the girl he truly loves right to his door. She must however pass the “True Princess Test”, a pea under a stack of mattresses.
The Princess and the Pea will be presented Saturday, May 12, 2007 at 7:00pm and Sunday, May 13 2007, with shows at 2:00 and 5:00pm. All shows will be presented at the Kings College Theatre.
