Summer Stock Theatre Returns to Nuangola

After an absence of more than 50 years, summer stock is coming back to the Grove Theatre at Lake Nuangola. Once a popular stop for nationally known actors in the 1930’s and 1940’s, the Grove will host three productions this summer and fall.

Produced by the Mitchell Financial Group and Grove Theatricals, the season opens June 23rd with a Broadway Musical Comedy Review. Directed by Deirdre McLaughlin, the review includes songs from Oklahoma, Guys & Dolls, Pajama Game and Bye Bye, Birdie as well as Avenue Q, The Producers and Thoroughly Modern Millie.

The hilarious Little Sisters of Hoboken will bring their frolicking fundraiser Nunsense to the Grove the first two weekends in August, under the direction of Greg Korin.

Christa Manning will direct Neil Simon’s endearing comedy Last of the Red Hot Lovers, scheduled for the first two weekends in October.

Season subscriptions are available, as well as individual show tickets, by calling 570-868-8212, or by e-mail at TICKETSGrove@aol.com.
