“GREASE” is the Word This Summer at the Music Box Dinner Playhouse

GREASE is the word this summer at the Music Box Dinner Playhouse, 196 Hughes Street in Swoyersville. Bring your family to see Sandy, Danny and the gang as they sing and dance their way through one of America’s coolest musicals.
The popular 50’s rock-n-roll musical has a book, music and lyrics written by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey. The show first opened on Broadway in 1974 and has gone on to be one of the most watched musical movies starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton John.
The show is directed by Alice Y. Lyons with musical direction by Fred Pacolitch. Choreography is by Kevin Costley, Sets and Lighting by Michael Gallagher and Costumes by K.D. Love.
Performance dates are June 29, 30 and July 1; July 5 through 8; 12 through 15; and 19 through 22. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays the doors open at 6:00pm, a buffet dinner catered by A Touch of Class is served at 6:30pm, and curtain is at 8:00pm. On Sunday Matinees, the doors open at 1:00pm, with the buffet served at 1:30pm and the curtain at 3:00pm.

The roles of Danny and Sandy will be played by Lou Lyons and Ashlee Sanko. Others in the cast Kim Crofchick, Caitlin Green, Elizabeth Guarnieri, Linda Lewis, Elizabeth Papciak, Amanda Reese, Alice Y. Lyons, Dave Baloga, Tom DeMichele, Jay Fink, Brandon Frashefski, George Thomas, Jim Williams and Kevin Costley.
GREASE is a dinner theatre production. Tickets are now on sale for both dinner-and-show and show-only. There are special group rates, and discounted prices for Senior Citizens, students and children, as well as AAA members.
