On the heels of a very successful opening weekend, the Grove Theatre at Lake Nuangola will present its second and final weekend of “Comedy Tonight” this weekend.
The first of three summer stock presentations scheduled for this season, Comedy Tonight is a musical comedy review featuring selections from Broadway classics mixed with some new favorites. A talented cast, including local musical theatre regulars like Buddy Bower, Kevin Holbert, Jessie Lee Hooker, Michael Marone and Wendy Popeck will perform selections from Annie Get Your Gun, Anything Goes, Footloose, Avenue Q, Thoroughly Modern Millie, and The Full Monty.
Comedy Tonight was conceived and directed by Deirdre McLaughlin with musical direction by Mike O’Malley and technical direction by Joe Sheridan. Walter S. Mitchell, Jr. serves as the Executive Producer.
Performances this weekend are Friday and Saturday at 8pm with a Sunday matinee at 3pm. All tickets are $15. For reservations and more information, call 570-868-8212.

Does the picture with this article show Wendy Popeck or Cate McDonald? Both sang wonderfully on Saturday night but I can’t figure out who is who.
I believe the picture shows Cate McDonald. I’ll check with someone at The Grove and let you know…
