Auditions for “The Full Monty” at the Music Box Dinner Playhouse

The Music Box Players will hold auditions for the popular musical: The Full Monty on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 14 and 15 at 7:30 PM at the Music Box Dinner Playhouse, 196 Hughes St, Swoyersville, PA 18704.

The cast requires 13 men (ages 18 and over), 8 women (ages 18 and over) and one boy (ages 9 to 13). Included in the male cast is a man of African-American descent, one who is a body builder, and one man of “girth”. All of the male leads must be willing to do a short strip-tease act.

The story, set in modern day Buffalo, involves out-of-work steelworkers who come up with a bold way to make some quick cash.

All roles are open. Director Kevin Costley and Musical Director Linda Orseck ask all who audition to sing a song of his/her choice and to read from the script.

Rehearsals will begin the week of August 19 and performance dates are: September 14 to 16, 20 to 23, and 27 to 30.
