The curtain will soon go up on local playwright David Schmidt’s latest detective drama, Blondes, Bullets, and Blackmail! to be staged by Endless Mountain Theatre Company.
“I have been a fan of the hard-boiled detective for as long as I can remember,” says the playwright. “What most appeals to me about the hard-boiled detective is that he is a common man but at the same time an unusual man. The hard-boiled detective is a hero for the common man. A knight in a fedora.”
Blondes is the second Schmidt play to be produced by EMTC.
The action, suspense, and atmosphere will all be happening this Thursday and Friday August 9-10 at 7:30pm, and Saturday, August 11 at 3:30pm, at Montrose Area High School (Montrose, PA). Play content is comparable to that of a “PG” movie.
