Little Theatre of Wilkes-Barre Presents MYSTERY, MISCHIEF AND MURDER ON MAIN
Little Theatre of Wilkes-Barre is pleased to announce its upcoming “evening of One Acts with a murderous theme” to be presented October 26 and 27, 2007 at 8pm.
The evening will feature Blind Woman’s Bluff under the direction of Christa Manning, In Memoriam directed by Greg Korin, Sorry, Wrong Number directed by Alan Waclawski and Not Another Murder Mystery written and directed by Heidi Germaine-Schnappauf.
Blind Woman’s Bluff, written by Janet S. Tiger, tells the story of a shrewd old woman who pulls the wool over the eyes of a wold in sheep’s clothing who comes to her house to rob her.
In Memoriam, written by Marlene Remington and inspired by Agatha Christie’s Ten Little Indians, is a fast-moving murder mystery that will send a chill down your spine.
Sorry, Wrong Number, written by Lucille Fletcher, is a stage adaptation of a radio classic. This mystery thriller is a tale of a neurotic invalid whose only contact with the outside world is her telephone. One night, because of a crossed wire, she overhears plans for a murder which turns out to be her own. Her frantic efforts to find help through the only means at her disposal, her growing terror and realization of the truth, and the hints about her own life and personality that she lets drop make this a full character portrait, not only of herself, but of the unseen murderer, whose identity and motivations are surmised, but never revealed.
Not Another Murder Mystery, written by and musical arrangement by Heidi Germaine-Schnappauf, asks us to think murder mystery - then think musical - then think how could this be any further from any murder mystery I’ve ever seen? Welcome to the Tiny Family Mansion, and Not Another Murder Mystery. Bubbles Tiny and her fiancée Butch Babe arrive at the Tiny mansion in time for a get together where people “mysteriously go missing and are presumed dead” and then hilarity ensues…
All tickets for Mystery Mischief and Murder on Main are $10 and are available by calling the Little Theatre of Wilkes-Barre Box Office at 570-823-1875.
