On Sunday, December 9th at 4:00 pm, the curtains will rise on the stage of the Sherman Theater and the glorious voices of the Pocono Choral Society will echo brightly within the hallowed walls of this historic Stroudsburg landmark as they offer their a jubilant rendering of the beloved Handel classic, “Messiah”. Produced in conjunction with the American Red Cross, their combined efforts promise to bring to life a powerful performance filled with all the spirit of the holiday season. Several guest soloists will be on hand to lend their amazing talents including Stroudsburg native Dan Hoy, Juli Borst of New York City, Denise Williams of Toronto and John Werner of Philadelphia. Award winning director, Jerrold Fisher will expertly conduct these dynamic soloists along with the Choral Society and a 16 piece baroque orchestra. As a special treat during intermission, a modern liturgical dance interlude will be performed on stage, courtesy of Clarissa Newby-Phillips of the Pocono Conservatory of the Arts.

So share the gift of music with your family and friends this Christmas and join the ARC and the PCS for a heartwarming afternoon of holiday music that is expected to be the concert event of the season.
