THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK Continues this Weekend at Little Theatre of Wilkes-Barre

Little Theatre of Wilkes-Barre continues its run of “The Diary of Anne Frank†this weekend, November 16th, 17th at 8:00, and November 18th at 3:00. Written by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett, the play is a dramatization based on the writing of a young Jewish girl during World War II. The story chronicles the two years her family spent hiding in a sealed-off attic above her father’s business during the wartime occupation of Amsterdam.
Local theatre veteran, Director Christine E. Rock, brings to life the story of how the Frank family and four other people hid from Nazi persecution amid their own growing tensions, food shortages, and the ever-present threat of discovery. With Technical Direction by Alan Waclawski and Costuming by Barbara Wilson, the story features Heidi Germaine Schnauppauf in the role of Anne, John Sherrick and Theresa Vetack as her parents-Otto and Edith Frank, and Warren Rosengrant, Cindy F. Thomas and Kevin Holbert as the Van Daan family. Other cast members include Sabrina Krichten, David Fritz, Lindsey Dailey and Richard Kramer.
Little Theatre is honored to present Anne’s story as the Anne Frank Center is celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the publication of her diary. For tickets or more information contact the Little Theatre Box Office at (570) 823-1875 or visit www.ltwb.org.
