Chenango River Theatre Gala Party to Kick Off 2008

Featuring wonderful and exotic items you’ll want to bid on, Chenango River Theatre’s first annual Gala Cocktail Party & Auction will be held at the Silo Restaurant from 6 - 10pm on Saturday, January 12, 2008.
Among the featured items donated to the theatre and available through the Silent and Live auctions are a California Wine Vacation, and (2) one-week stays at Surfwatch, Marriott Resort’s newest facility on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
One of the highlights of the evening will be entertainment from some of the area’s best - Claus Evans and Bill Gorman, fresh from starring roles at Cider Mill Playhouse, will perform, as will well-known tenor Tony Villecco, accompanied by Pej Reitz. Al Hamme and pianist Bill Carter are also scheduled to entertain and help make this a memorable evening.
Also available for bid will be fine photography, collectible wines, gift certificates to area restaurants and businesses, dinner for 6 prepared in your home by a professional chef, family membership to the Discovery Center, golf at Binghamton Country Club, box seats to the B-Sens (hockey) and Binghamton University’s Bearcats (men’s basketball), as well as artwork and other fun and fine items. Complimentary fine wines and exquisite hors d’oeuvres from the Silo’s chef are included in the price of admission, which also includes a tax-deductible donation to the theatre. Admission is $50/person and the Silo Restaurant is located at 203 Moran Rd., just east of Greene. Tickets to the event are available through January 7 by calling the theatre at 607-656-8778.
