KISS Theatre Company is pleased to announce its upcoming productions of Guys & Dolls, Jr and Godspell, Jr to be presented Friday and Saturday, February 1st and 2nd at 7pm and Sunday, February 3 at 2pm at Little Theatre of Wilkes-Barre.
Guys & Dolls, Jr, Directed by Christa Manning, is set in Damon Runyon’s mythical New York City, this Broadway classic introduces us to colorful characters who have become legends in the canon: Sarah Brown, the upÂright but uptight “mission doll,” out to reform the evildoers of Times Square; Sky Masterson, the slick, high-rolling gambler who woos her on a bet and ends up falling in love; Adelaide, the nightclub performer whose chronic cold is brought on by the fact she’s been engaged to the same man for 14 years; and Nathan Detroit, her devoted fiancĂ©, desperate as always to find a spot for his infamous floating crap game.
Godspell, Jr, Directed by Greg Korin, draws on various theatrical traditions, such as clowning, pantomime, charades, acrobatics and vaudeville. The show is a groundbreaking and unique reflection on the life of Jesus, with a message of kindness, tolerance and love. Featuring the international hit “Day By Day”.
