Inspirational Irish singing sensation Tommy Fleming will perform live at the Sherman Theater in downtown Stroudsburg Saturday, March 8, just in time for St. Patrick’s Day. This show will support the Capital Campaign recently launched as part of the Sherman Theater’s transition to a Non-Profit Regional Performing Arts Center.
Star of the PBS special A JOURNEY HOME and Ireland’s biggest-selling Irish artist in recent years, Tommy Fleming puts on an incredibly inspiring live performance. And it’s not just singing or music. Tommy’s natural wit and quick-fire humor shine through with fine stories and hilarious off-the-cuff ad libs. The band usually features 6 to 10 musicians and his album-owning fans state that he is “even better, live.”
His Voice of Hope album was the number one selling CD and number two selling DVD in Ireland in 2005/6. This success was followed with a new studio album entitled A VOICE LIKE MINE, released under his new record label - Universal Music – the first of a recently signed five album deal. Both albums went Platinum. His most recent album and DVD, A JOURNEY HOME, were released in October 2007 and catalogue the “journey” of Irish music from Thomas Moore to U2. His concerts are the biggest selling shows in venues throughout the Emerald Isle, success that has come after 18 years of hard work.
