Bo Bice Returns to the Sherman TheaterThe Sherman Theater, located in downtown Stroudsburg, announces the return of former American Idol Bo Bice to its stage April 5, 2008. This show will support the Capital Campaign recently launch as part of the Sherman Theater’s transition to a 501c3 Non-Profit Regional Performing Arts Center.

“As one of our fastest-selling shows, the demand to bring Bo Bice back has been incredible,” says Richard W. Berkowitz, Executive Director and President of the Sherman Theater. “Those who saw him here last year know what a phenomenal, high-energy show this will be.”

American Idol’s Season 4 runner-up, Bo has a new album SEE THE LIGHT and his “Witness” video closed out 2007 as the #1 video on VH1’s VSpot Top 20 Countdown.

Bo is incredibly excited about his new album SEE THE LIGHT. “I’m grateful for THE REAL THING; that was a fun album,” says Bice. “This [album] was just total freedom. We had no inhibitions about what this was going to be; we just went in and did whatever we wanted to. The freedom shines through.”

And with the work on the album done, Bo is ready to get back to doing what he likes best — playing. The songs on this album are meant to be played live, he says, and in the most straightforward manner possible.

“I don’t need a laser show,” Bo says. “I don’t need a bunch of pyro to blow up in front of you to impress you. That’s not the show. The show is the music and being entertained for an hour and a half. It’s the same concept on this album — it’s not over-produced, just an album full of raw, Southern rock, getting back to basics and stripping it down to where it’s so organic everybody can grab a little piece out of it.”

Tickets for this performance are $23. All seats are reserved and the show begins at 8 p.m.. Tickets for this show are available Friday, February 1 at shermantheater.com or by calling the theater box office at 570.420.2808.
