March 25, 2008 · Print This Article
On Saturday, May 10 from 8am - 1pm the Allentown Fire Department, Allentown Health Bureau, Lehigh Valley Hospital, Sacred Heart Hospital and St Luke’s Hospital will participate in an emergency preparedness drill. The exercise requires approximately 80 individuals to play the roles of victims who have experienced injury. Volunteers will receive a lunch voucher and will be entered into a drawing for prizes.
Volunteers can be adults or children accompanied by parents or guardians. It is five hours of time that will assist the hospitals and first responders in being better prepared for emergencies.
If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Vicky Kistler at Kistler@allentowncity.org.
