Music Box Theater Academy Presents AND THEY LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER

Students from the first Musical Theater Academy will present AND THEY LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER, an evening of theater, song, and dance at the Music Box Dinner Playhouse, 196 Hughes Street, Swoyersville, PA. Performances are: June 20 and 21 at 7 PM, and June 22 at 2 PM.
The program will consist of dramatic monologues, dances choreographed by Bernardine
Vojtko, and a one act musical: AND THEY LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER performed by 20 talented area teenagers, ages 13 to 18.

What happens if you just stop showering? The Mistakes Madeline Made is a twisted and hilarious coming-of-age story about a girl who develops ablutophobia, a fear of bathing.
ANOTHER RIVER FLOWS Presented by Touchstone Theatre

This original play Another River Flows is a powerful tapestry of theatre and song, woven from the common threads of oral tradition. Linda Parris-Bailey (Playwright), Peggy Pettitt (Actress/Story Gatherer), and world-renowned musician, Ysaye M. Barnwell (Song Gatherer/Arranger) join Touchstone’s Ensemble and a host of community performers to share a century of the African American experience in the Lehigh Valley.

The Pocono Choral Society will commemorate this year’s Independence Day weekend with a celebration of America in song. You’ll hear many songs including Irving Berlin’s God Bless America, Thomas Dorsey’s Precious Lord, Take My Hand, favorites from the 40’s and a selection of gospel.
Zuppa del Giorno to Perform in Italy

Zuppa del Giorno, The Northeast Theatre’s American commmedia troupe, announced today that they have been invited to perform at four theatre festivals in central Italy, two in June and two more in November. They will be presenting a new comic creation about young love that draws from various of their shows throughout the years, called L’amore e’ mazzo, ma buona (Love is Crazy, But Good). The piece will be performed entirely without words, much like their 2005 hit, Silent Lives.

ANNIE WARBUCKS Opens at Little Theatre

Little Theatre of Wilkes-Barre announces the last production of its 85th Anniversary Season! Annie Warbucks picks up right where Annie leaves off, when Child Welfare Commissioner Harriet Doyle arrives on the scene to inform Daddy Warbucks he must marry in sixty days so the newly adopted Annie can have a proper mother. In the end, Daddy Warbucks’ whirlwind search for a fitting bride uncovers not only a plot by Doyle and her daughter to strip him of his fortune, but also his true feelings for Grace Farrell. All the ingredients that made Annie so successful are here once again, with an old-fashioned romance thrown in for good measure!
Production dates for Annie Warbucks are June 7th, 13th, and 14th at 8:00 PM and June 8th and 15th at 3:00 PM. All tickets $18.00
