June 8, 2008 · Print This Article
This original play Another River Flows is a powerful tapestry of theatre and song, woven from the common threads of oral tradition. Linda Parris-Bailey (Playwright), Peggy Pettitt (Actress/Story Gatherer), and world-renowned musician, Ysaye M. Barnwell (Song Gatherer/Arranger) join Touchstone’s Ensemble and a host of community performers to share a century of the African American experience in the Lehigh Valley.
The Lehigh Valley Black African Heritage History Project is a collaborative partnership between Muhlenberg College, the Lehigh County Senior Center, the Lehigh County Historical Society, Kutztown University, the Northampton County Historical and Genealogical Society, and Touchstone Theatre.
