Bracken Theatre Company Presents THE DOCTOR IS IN/OUT
July 6, 2008 · Print This Article
The Bracken Theatre is back on the boards at the Paper Kite Press in Kingston with a touchingly hilarious new work called The Doctor Is In/Out. Written by local award winning playwright Tom Flannery, the show features local favorites Kelly Clisham and Karen Padden playing ten characters in 90 minutes.
This sketch style performance is split into six segments. Act I features duo pieces called “Birthing” and “Five Cents Please” before concluding with a monologue called “Flying Girls”. Act Two opens where Act I left off, with another monologue titled “Jackie Robinson”, then moving on to “Mary On The Backboard” and finishing with “Passing Time”. All of the pieces are connected together with a thread of hope, humor and a spirit of survival in pretty ridiculous times.
Seating is limited to 25, so call for your reservations now at 822-7106. The Bracken Theatre Company is also proud to present their new website at www.brackentheatre.com. You can also email the group at brackentheatre@gmail.com.
