Music Box Players Announce Auditions for “Your Hit Parade”

The Music Box Players are pleased to announce auditions for Your Hit Parade: Music and Comedy of the Big Band Era. Following the enormous success of last season’s original country music review and in response to overwhelming public demand, Your Hit Parade will celebrate the greatest songs and comedic moments of the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s.
Auditions will be conducted on Monday, July 9 and Tuesday, July 10 at 7pm. Director Debbie Zehner invites all adults, ages 18 and over, to prepare a song that best demonstrates their vocal ability. An accompanist will be provided. Production dates are August 10, 11, 12, 16, 17, 18 and 19.

Auditions Announced at Chenango River Theatre

The Chenango River Theatre, the Binghamton area’s newest professional non-profit theater company will hold local auditions for both The Foreigner and True West on Monday June 11, 2007 at the new theater at 1 Cherry Lane, Greene, NY
Auditions are for both Equity and non-equity actors with all actors compensated for their work. Equity actors are paid under the guidelines of Chenango River Theatre’s Small Professional Theatre (SPT Level 2) contract with Actors’ Equity, the union for professional actors and stage managers. Non-equity actors receive a fee.
Endicott Performing Arts Center Announces Auditions for “Much Ado About Nothing”

The Endicott Performing Arts Center is pleased to announce the audition date for its upcoming August, 2007 production of Much Ado About Nothing. The show will be the fourth annual “Shakespeare In The Parks†outdoor production.
Auditions will be held at the EPAC Theater Saturday, June 2, 2007 from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM.
Music Box Players Announce Additional Auditions for “Grease”

Additional auditions for the following roles in Grease Wednesday May 30th at 7:30. at the Music Box.
The Music Box Players will hold additional auditions for their June/July production of Grease. Director Alice Lyons is in search for actors to portray the characters of Jan, Frenchie, Sonny, Eugene, and Cha-Cha to round out the cast. Those interested are asked to bring sheet music for the accompanist.
Rehearsals begin May 31st and shows dates are June 29-July 1, 5-9, 12-15, 19-22.

Auditions Set for “Grease” at Music Box

The Music Box Players will conduct their own local search for Sandy and Danny and the rest of the cast of GREASE on May 24th and May 27th at 7:30pm at the Music Box Dinner Playhouse, 196 Hughes Street, Swoyersville, PA 18704.
All roles are open to everyone ages 16 and over. Those interested in auditioning are asked to bring sheet music and will be asked to read from the script (no a-cappella, please!) An accompanist will be provided.

Proof is the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning drama about genius,
insanity, love, and math. Characters are Catherine, age 25; her
sister Claire, age 29; their father Robert, age 50-60; and his student
Harold, age 28.
Auditions Announced for “The Fantasticks” at Little Theatre of Wilkes-Barre

Auditions for the final show of The Little Theatre of Wilkes-Barre’s 2006-2007 season, “The Fantasticks” will be held at the theatre Monday, April 23rd & Tuesday, 24th at 7:00 p.m.
Director Dawn Winarski says roles are available for actors aged 16 and up. With music by Harvey Schmidt, book and lyrics by Tom Jones this show became the world’s longest running musical. The classic story of two young lovers who learn about life as their meddling fathers plot their relationship, originally starred the late Jerry Orbach. Currently the show’s revival is playing to sold out houses in New York City. Those auditioning will be asked to bring a prepared song (please no tapes or singing acapella) and be asked to read from the script. Musical director for the production is Linda Houck. Show dates are June 1,2,3 and 8,9 and 10, 2007.
