Auditions Set for “Grease” at Music Box

The Music Box Players will conduct their own local search for Sandy and Danny and the rest of the cast of GREASE on May 24th and May 27th at 7:30pm at the Music Box Dinner Playhouse, 196 Hughes Street, Swoyersville, PA 18704.

All roles are open to everyone ages 16 and over. Those interested in auditioning are asked to bring sheet music and will be asked to read from the script (no a-cappella, please!) An accompanist will be provided.

Proof is the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning drama about genius,

Auditions Announced for “The Fantasticks” at Little Theatre of Wilkes-Barre

Auditions for the final show of The Little Theatre of Wilkes-Barre’s 2006-2007 season, “The Fantasticks” will be held at the theatre Monday, April 23rd & Tuesday, 24th at 7:00 p.m.

Director Dawn Winarski says roles are available for actors aged 16 and up. With music by Harvey Schmidt, book and lyrics by Tom Jones this show became the world’s longest running musical. The classic story of two young lovers who learn about life as their meddling fathers plot their relationship, originally starred the late Jerry Orbach. Currently the show’s revival is playing to sold out houses in New York City. Those auditioning will be asked to bring a prepared song (please no tapes or singing acapella) and be asked to read from the script. Musical director for the production is Linda Houck. Show dates are June 1,2,3 and 8,9 and 10, 2007.

Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble Announces Auditions for Summer Play

The Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble (BTE) has scheduled Saturday, April 28 as the date for community auditions for the summer production of Hans Upon A Time: The Emperor’s New Clothes and other stories of Hans Christian Andersen. The auditions will begin at 10am at the Alvina Krause Theatre. Roles are available for girls and boys ages 12 and older, teens, and adults. There is also a non-speaking role for which a girl of 10 or 11 will be considered. All community roles will be double-cast.
